Black OystercatcherAfter a successful Wellington exhibition I have been pleased to extend my partnership with Ashton Grove. First was an exhibition in Auckland and next up is one in Christchurch. I was a bit anxious about Auckland, thinking that nobody up there would be interested in what are predominantly Marlborough paintings, but was pleasantly surprised to sell more paintings than I did in Wellington.
Emma, the delightful owner of Ashton Grove, also offered me the chance to exhibit in her Melbourne showrooms. I was pretty keen but eventually had to say no, as I didn't have nearly enough paintings that would make sense in Australian homes. Hopefully next year I will be more prepared for that scenario.
